What are Light Truck Tires?
Light-Truck and off-road tires, often abbreviated as “LT”, are tires that provide traction on all kinds of surfaces, including on and off-road. By adopting the open tread design from dedicated off-road tires but still maintaining handling characteristics from street tires, makes for an all-purpose tire that can be used throughout the year.
How Long Do LT Tires Last?
There is no exact answer to how long a particular set of tires will last. However, there are things drivers can do to get the most out of their tires. On average, a good quality tire will last anywhere between 20,000 to 40,000 miles, depending on maintenance, driving style, and conditions.
